A printing process related to post-press finishing of products, based on hot or cold pressing of metallized or pigment foil or other material.
We perform:
- Foil stamping — stamping in which foil is pulled between a heated cliché and the material (paper, leather, plastic, etc.) and pressed.
- Blind stamping — stamping using a cliché to obtain an imprint on a smooth surface (e.g. on textured paper, on leather). Unlike foil stamping, this process does not use foil. Special films can be used to obtain better smoothness or gloss. The operating temperatures of the process are usually lower than with foil stamping, in order to avoid overheating and damage to the material.
- Foil-less relief stamping — creating a relief (towards the observer) by pressing the material between the stamping plate (matrix) and the punch (counter-matrix, counterpart). The image is made convex. It is produced either cold or by heating the plate to 60 °C.
- Foil-based relief stamping. It can be done in two ways. In the first way, the process is carried out in two passes: in the first pass, the foil is pressed, and in the second pass, the relief is created. In the second way, the process is carried out in one stroke (impression); the foil is transferred and the relief is created simultaneously, which allows to halve the time spent on the print run. The second way uses a technologically more complex (and expensive) stamping plate, the press operator must have the skill to work in one stroke, a high temperature of 110-160 °C and a press capable of performing such work, for example, "Bobst" or "Gietz". - Foil stamping is a stamping process in which foil is pulled between a heated cliché and the material (paper, leather, plastic, etc.) and pressed. Under the influence of the heated cliché, the metallized or pigment coating separates from the carrier film and is fixed with an adhesive layer on the surface of the material being stamped.
- Blind stamping is stamping using a cliché to obtain an imprint on a smooth surface (for example, on textured paper, on leather). Unlike foil stamping, this process does not use foil. Special films can be used to obtain better smoothness or gloss. The operating temperatures of the process are usually lower than with foil stamping, in order to avoid overheating and damage to the material. - Relief stamping without foil — creating a relief (towards the observer) by pressing the material between the relief stamp (matrix) and the punch (counter-matrix, counter part). The image is made convex. It is produced either cold or by heating the stamp to 60 °C
- Relief stamping with foil. The second method uses a technologically more complex (and expensive) cliche, requires the press operator to have the skill to work in one stroke, requires a high temperature of 110-160 °C and a press capable of performing such work, for example, "Bobst" or "Gietz" - Reverse embossing.
